Mother of the first indigene of Centre of Excellence, Lagos State, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, Madam Christiana Oluleye Ambode, added another year to clock 85 days ago. It was a classy event as her children ensured she had a great time celebrating her day. The venue, Haven events centre, Ikeja GRA was filled to the brim with a lot of important personalities from all walks of life that were on hand to felicitate with the Lagos First Family.
In his nature as a prudent leader, Akinwunmi coordinated his siblings to have a moderate but of course, classy birthday ceremony for their mother. Mama Akin as she is fondly called was filled with smiles, as she walked into the hall with close family members.
Seeing Mama, one could see the huge resemblance she has with all her children. She didn’t only look ageless, Mama’s singing prowess was brought to fore as she sang many soul lifting songs to praise God for a life well-spent. Mama who was visibly happy took her time to recount how she was able to wriggle through it all with seven children when her husband passed away in 1981. In submission, she expressed gratitude to God who has made all her children so good even as she said she finds it amazing that among multitude in Lagos State, her child could become a governor. She said her name has since changed from Akin’s mother to the Governor’s mother.
