Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu, who won his re-election bid to Lagos State House of Assembly has dedicated his historic victory to the Youth of Ikeja Constituency 2 and Lagos State.

Speaking with the media Monday morning, Hon. Kasunmu who is fondly called ARK, commended the people of his Constituency for voting massively for him and Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu during the Governorship and Houses of Assembly elections last Saturday 9th March 2019.

The Lawmaker who has been representing the the Constituency on the platform of the APC since 2015, sought re-election to the house in 2019 for another term of four years and contested against 16 other candidates in an election adjudged to be free and fair last Saturday.
At the end of voting, Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu polled a whopping 16, 891 votes beating his closest rival from PDP with over 12500 votes.
Another interesting part of the election was that Hon. Kasunmu won all the 455 polling units in Ikeja Constituency and defeat all his opponents in their respective polling units.

In his acceptance/ appreciation speech Monday morning, Hon. ARK dedicated his victory to the youths of Ikeja 2 and also thanked the Leaders and members of his Party as well as the general electorate of Ikeja LGA and Ojodu LCDA for their unprecedented support before, during and after the election.

The 35 year old lawyer who is the youngest and one of the most vibrant legislators in the current 8th Assembly of Lagos State, also promised to continue providing “qualitative representation and greater service to the people” in his second term in office.

ON THE MANDATE OF 9TH MARCH: A NOTE OF APPRECIATION

One of our age-long axioms says “Ti a ba se ni loore, ope la’ada”
Permit me to start by first expressing my profound gratitude to God Almighty for everything He has done and for OUR victorious outing at the polls last Saturday. To GOD be the glory.

And so with a joyful heart and thankful soul, I sincerely appreciate you all the great people of Ikeja Constituency 2 for your unquantifiable support before, during and after the elections on Saturday. You have indeed demonstrated beyond all doubts that power belongs to the people and this will never be taken for granted.

To the LEADERSHIP of our great party,, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and all our faithful MEMBERS across board, I certainly cannot thank you enough for the love, passion, hardwork and commitment you have shown to the Party and all our candidates including my self, E ku ise takun-takun.
I doff my hat and salute you all for your tenacity and loyalty. Your rewards are certain.

To the electorates of Ikeja Constituency 2, I want to say a big thank you to you all for coming out enmass to perform your civic responsibilities and for making the wisest choice with your PVC last Saturday.

To my mothers and fathers across Ikeja Constituency 2 and beyond, I appreciate your constant love and parental counsels and support. These I will forever cherish.

To my fellow Youths across our Constituency and beyond, words can never be enough to appreciate you all for standing by one of your own! Your soildarity is well appreciated and I thank you for this fresh opportunity to a make a difference.
This is another victory for the youth and this is your mandate. We are young and we already running. By the special Grace of God, I promise to make you all proud.

Lastly, I want to also thank all the members of Hon. ARK Season 2 Campaign Organisation (HASCO), my personal staff and family members for your support, hardwork and determination. God bless you all.

I fully understand that the new mandate given to me on Saturday 9th of March 2019 is a mandate like no other and a call to greater service and qualitative representation, and on these, I promise to deliver beyond expectations, God helping me.
