Going by information available to JustNews, it can authoritatively be revealed that the nationwide strike the Nigeria Labour Congress s, NLC, was meant to embark on, today 28th September, has been suspended after the body and federal government were able to reach a truce during their meeting that lasted till midnight.

This information was confirmed via a post made by the Minister of State for Labour and Employment; Hon. Festus Keyamo.

The post read thus:   FG & LABOUR reach agreement at 2:53am. Deregulation to stay as Govt rolls out palliatives for labour (details in 2 weeks); Electricity tariffs suspended by Govt for 2 weeks with a joint Committee headed by @fkeyamo to examine the justification for the new policy. Strike suspended
